These hand turned hardwood handles superbly fit in one’s hand and give you the leverage to scoop the hardest of ice creams. The chrome plated steel scoop end is solid and heavy, and the shape is quite reminiscent of an old timey ice cream parlor.
They are hand made in our
Western North Carolina Wood Shop!
First… we mill our favorite contrasting hard woods Maple and Walnut to 2.5 inches square, and pattern them for an interesting look.
Then… they are glued up using a water-resistant food safe commercial woodworking adhesive.
The fun begins on the lathe they are shaped and sanded.
Then the handles are finished with food safe oils and waxes right on the lathe.
