Rustic Wooden American Flag
I am grateful that I was raised in a military family, and I proudly fly our nations flag every day at home.
It took several years to come up with the look and feel that we wanted in our Rustic American Wood Flag, and I am very proud of the result.
The hand cut and shaped stars rise proudly from the blue field.
Each stripe is hand cut and they are attached to one another with three #10 biscuits and Titebond III wood glue.
The blue and red are stains, and the white stripes and stars are left natural.
After being sanded smooth, the flag is slightly distressed and scorched a bit with a torch to illustrate the rocket’s red glare, and the bombs bursting in air, that gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.
